Cara
About Cara
Following a successful career in business Cara decided to develop her long held interest in Complementary medicine by working in a naturopathic clinic. Having brought up her children she was inspired to train as an osteopath after benefitting from Osteopathic treatment for various ailments and childhood illnesses that would otherwise have required conventional treatment.
Cara is interested in developing her skills in the gentlest types of work that can benefit her patients. Cara looks deeply into what may be underlying the issues that lead people to present for help. Cara includes consideration of the types of reactions that individuals may have to prescription medications and she includes this in her assessment. Cara says; ‘The fundamental principle of Osteopathy is to help the body return to health. Once health is restored the need for medication can be reduced or even made redundant.’

Cara’s Insights

“I am committed to providing the best clinical experience for my patients. I have first-hand knowledge of being a patient and have benefitted greatly from osteopathic treatment throughout my life. With a previous work history in a corporate environment I understand the stresses and strains that modern lifestyles and sedentary occupations can place on the body.”

osteopathy
What is osteopathy
Osteopathy detects and treats health problems related to the musculoskeletal system and the framework of the body.
This type of treatment emphasizes manual readjustments, myofascial release and other physical manipulation of muscle tissue and bones to resolve structural barriers to health. Once these restrictions are removed the body can heal itself.
Turn to Cara Daw Osteopathy to help improve postural alignment and body movements to relieve pain and stiffness.

The vision
Cara's vision is to help make osteopathy accessible to all. She believes that healthcare should not just be about treating the symptoms but rather getting to the source of the problem.
